What is Pilates?

Pilates is a system designed to strengthen and elongate muscles, build stamina, develop muscle tone and restore the body to its natural balance.  It helps to increase stability by developing the body’s core strength, which helps to support improved posture and healthier alignment.   Pilates also helps to build the foundation for healthier movement patterns and improved coordination, whilst at the same time accentuating the length of the limbs to develop longer and leaner muscles.
